ProductXL calculates POAS for every product and campaign, and sends it to Google Ads and Meta Ads.
Works in any country, language and currency
Sample products. Both products bring €100 in sales for €25 of ads, so the ads report the same result. Sonvia headphones: product cost €46, discounts and other costs €10, ads €25, so you keep €19 (POAS 1.76). Smartwatch, 44 mm: product cost €70, discounts and other costs €12, ads €25, so you lose €7 (POAS 0.72).
After product cost, discounts and other costs, the headphones keep €19 and the smartwatch loses €7. POAS shows this for every product.

A high ROAS can still lose money. Revenue leaves out margins, discounts and costs, so budget drifts to high-priced products that earn little. POAS shows the profit each ad brings back, for every product and campaign.
With ROAS, every margin needs its own target. A product with a 25% margin breaks even at ROAS 4, one with a 50% margin at ROAS 2. With POAS, every product breaks even at 1.

ExampleAt a 25% margin, each €1 of ad spend needs €4.00 in revenue to break even.
POAS counts what revenue leaves out. Costs are calculated when each order is placed, so a changing cost of goods is not a problem.

ROAS typically measures revenue generated per dollar spent on advertising, while POAS measures the actual profit made from the advertising spend.
POAS provides a more accurate reflection of profitability as it considers factors like margins, fixed costs, and other expenses, which ROAS based on revenue does not account for.
Product XL provides tools to easily integrate profit data into marketing channels like Google Ads and Facebook Ads, allowing for more precise profit-based bidding and campaign optimization.
ROAS can lead to allocating budget to high-priced but low-profit products, potential losses on certain orders, and difficulties in adapting to changing product catalogs and order mixes.
POAS allows for more transparent and effective advertising strategies by focusing on profitability rather than just revenue, enabling better allocation of the advertising budget.
Yes, POAS takes into account various factors like product promotions and discount codes, helping businesses to make more informed decisions about their promotional strategies.
This tactic involves setting a ROAS target based on the highest break-even point in the product catalog, ensuring no loss on individual orders but potentially limiting order volume for lower break-even products.
Having profit data in these platforms enables more efficient profit bidding and smarter allocation of ad spend, leading to potential savings and increased revenue.
POAS provides full transparency and simplicity in understanding advertising performance, ensuring that time and budget are dedicated to the most profitable ads, ultimately enhancing the bottom line.
